One of the best places for 'Pantai Timur' cuisine. They offer various types of dishes starting from nasi campur, nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, somtam and lokching. They offer a huge range of dishes for lunch starting from chicken, seafood, fish, ulam and kerabu. They also have sweet dishes like mango sticky rice and akok. I've tried nasi dagang and gulai ikan tongkol, and it's so good. The portion is generous, plus it's super duper affordable. Paid RM8 for a huge portion of nasi dagang and a big ikan tongkol slice. You can also have a takeaway. They also offer free flow drinking water. Service is fast and systematic. You can use QR pay here. They have indoor and outdoor seating. During my visit, it's not too crowded even though it's lunch hour on a weekday. It is accessible through LRT Kampung Bharu and a few metres walk away from the station. Totally recommended.

Atmosphere: vibe like an english cafe in a Malay village (if you eat here in the afternoon) Food: I ordered Nasi Kerabu. This is the most complete Nasi Kerabu I have ever had in KL. Top up with paru sambal. Taste so good. Only RM15.50 Service: Very quick.

We ate her 3 times during my last visit to KL. It's a must go if you are in and around KL. Parking can be a little challenging and expensive but the food and the experience are worth the pay.

Arrived a bit late and all the ready cooked meals almost finished and we ordered masakan panas. Service was fast. Food was okay But most importantly, cheap!

Food: Variety of lauk choices. Price also reasonable. Seating: Considered as comfortable but it will be a bit messy during peak hour (understandable). Parking: Few paid parking area behind of the restaurant. Don’t worry, just follow P signboard.

My favorite spot after a Sunday morning run is a Thai restaurant that's completely different from all the others around. The food tastes so good. It's like a buffet where you pick whatever food you want. They have a ton of different dishes to choose from, especially a lot of vegetable options, which is great for me as a native Thai who's lived here for a while. The prices are fair, but they are a bit of a mystery. After you get your food and sit down, a staff member comes over to calculate the cost. The price is never the same twice, and I'm not sure how they figure it out. Even if it's more expensive than my last visit, it's always worth it for the delicious taste and the price.

I don’t have a frame of reference since I only recently started liking Nasi Kerabu, but the one at Kak Som is good and cheap. Highly recommended.
